Workshop Agenda
- Les will lead the workshop with theoretical and “hands on” practice grading maple syrup and an understanding of what it takes to produce quality syrup.
- Kate will assist Les with the “sticky” points of grading and quality control, and
- Mike (as usual) will help us understand what the tree is doing when the syrup is right on, or when off-flavors like metabolism and buddy flavors occur.
When: Friday, May 20th
- 4:00 – 6:30 presentation and grading practice
- 6:30. Dinner (provided)
- 7:00 – “Till the cows come home” – Q and A on syrup quality, quality issues you are having, anything else maple related (By the way, does anyone really know when the cows do come home?)
