Join Va Tech for this year’s SW Virginia Tree Syrup School.
Online registration for the 2022 Southwest Virginia Tree Syrup School on November 19th is now open: https://tinyurl.com/3bujhuv7 . The workshop will be held in the Oxbow Center, 16620 East Riverside Dr, St Paul, VA 24283. Registration is $15 per adult and $10 per child with family discounts available. Topics to be covered will include forest botanicals that can complement a tree syrup operation, how to construct barrel rocket stoves for evaporation, choosing the right equipment, opportunities for marketing of syrup and other value-added products, and identifying and monitoring pests such at the Spotted Lanternfly.
