Mountain State Maple Days – Registration Deadline Approaching

Hello Maple Friends!

The deadline to sign up for Maple Days is December 1, 2019. That is soon! The reason we ask for an early deadline is because we want to advertise through the WV Tourism site and they need a long lead time.

I understand a lot of you are in “stands”, hunting! But I hope you will take a few minutes and register for Maple Days. If you participated last year and want to have the same input (or maybe with some minor changes), feel free to email me at webmaster@wvmspa.org. If you prefer a phone call, you can leave a message at 304-462-0399. I will call you back as soon as I can.

In order to see what you signed up for last year (or if you did), you can look for your farm on the Maple Days Map (click here).

If you want to register for the first time, or update your information, then please fill out the form at https://wvmspa.org/maple-days-entry-form-2/ . If for some reason it doesn’t seem to submit, scroll up and see if you missed some required fields. For example “Directions” is required even if it is to say “please call” or “Use Google Maps”. There is also a little math problem at the bottom to prove you are not a robot.

Let me know if you have any problems or questions, again at webmaster@wvmspa.org, or 304-462-0399 (leave a message).

Also, we hope you will visit or call restaurants and businesses in your area that you may have teamed up with in the past, or want to team up with, to ask them to sign up too. It’s the same signup form. This can be a very big thing for our state! While we will be contacting all the businesses who signed up last year, we think it will mean more coming from you!

I understand there are a lot of Save the Date cards available (as shown on this page), and more can be printed. Let me know if you need them and how many and I will try to find out how those are distributed.

As a final note, we have it in our minutes from the annual meeting that some of you wanted to put together a list of Sugarhouse Rules to post at the Maple Day events (and at any time you have open house). If anyone has worked to make such a sign, please contact me because I also read in the annual meeting minutes that I’m supposed to be the Director for the WVMSPA side of the Maple Days organization/publication.

Enjoy your holidays, which I can’t believe are almost upon us!

Tina Barton, WVMSPA Webmaster
