We were just told be have approx 40 Sugar Maple trees (tap able) on our property. We live in the St Albans area and I’m a Disabled Veteran. Who can I contact about more info on Tapping the trees. THANKS in advance.
I’m so sorry, I didn’t see this comment sooner! St. Albans is in Kanawha County, right? You could try the WV Dept. of Agriculture (https://www.google.com/maps/place/WV+Department+of+Agriculture/@38.3372314,-81.6111134,15z/data=!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x91daae08375e3dae!8m2!3d38.3372314!4d-81.6111134).
There will be an open house at the Ronk Family Farm in Alum Creek on March 16, for our other Mountain State Maple Day. I personally bought a little book and tapping kit on Amazon to get started before I found the Maple Syrup Producers Association.
Good luck!
