Other Hours Open
Tours of Maple Farm Yes we do tours and would love to have your group. I can handle as many as u bring 🙂 I will actually be making syrup in February and this would be the best time to come! But you can come anytime and I can still show the students the process and tell them and show them all the equipment . This would be the tour we will all walk up the hill to sugar shack and start with identifing a couple maples the red and the sugar maple and then we will tap a tree and then I will show them how we collect sap from our tubing that we put up to bring the sap into the sugar shack. Then going into sugar shack explaining all of the equipment that is used to make the Maple Syrup and all the steps involved in the process then hopefully will go inside the cabin which is next-door and sit down and answer any questions and give them a taste of syrup and also hopefully I’ll try my best to have a taste of maple cotton candy. Their will be Syrup available to buy. Come on out Rachel and Paul will look forward to your visit.

Additional Remarks
In 1850, a wagon full of Ronks from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, came and settled in the mountains of Lincoln County, West Virginia. The farm was left unattended for several years, but in 2005, Paul and Rachel Ronk and family moved back to the family farm and "brought it back to life." The farm is located in Alum Creek, 20 minutes south of the Capital of Charleston. The farm has over 100 acres of forest - 25 acres are currently tapped for maple syrup production. Over 250 taps flow through a tubing system and gravity vacuum. A wood-fired evaporator and reverse osmosis machine aid in the modern syrup production. The Ronk Family Farm sells their 100% pure maple syrup, as well as the unique Maple Cotton Candy at area events. Always delicious!!
